just desire to run into what each person thinks/votes. vi hours/360 miles or more road trip, where if something happens, your totally screwed. I have personally drove cross land (3000 miles) on a motorcar that has close to 200k, and yep, at some point i was scared that i might break down, and there is no reception, total darkness. me personally right now, i would not drive half dozen hours one way if the car had more than 175k. |

For me, information technology depends how long I've owned the motorcar. Ive had some well over 200k that was reliable and took on several 10+ hour trips. I maintain mine pretty well so I dont get stuck on the side of the road. |

The bullet has 230K on it correct now, and I wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere in it right at present if I had to. |

I have one car now that has 160,000 miles and wouldn't hesitate to take it on a road trip, just it's a stick shift. I accept yet to make more than than 140,000 on an automatic without the transmission going out, in several cases they simply between xc-110,000. That's been on a Ford, Chevy, Jeep, and Toyota. All were well maintained but possibly I just accept bad luck with automatics. |

Depends on the automobile. I had a machine with 220k miles that I took for an 8 hour trip without any hesitation. I take a truck right now with 130k miles that I wouldn't really want to drive further than 150 miles (though I have a few times). |

All were well maintained only maybe I but accept bad luck with automatics. that sounds normal. my toyota corolla auto trans failed at 125k. I have a friend that owns a manual store and he tells me many auto transmissions fail betwixt 90 and 140, toyota and honda included. |

Y'all're never totally screwed. Unless your breakdown occurs on the Dan Ryan State highway in Chicago. The likelihood that a friendly local volition stop and help you is inversely proportional to the density of the traffic. If y'all suspension down on a country road in the Dakotas, the first guy that comes along (maybe in an hour) will tow you to their farmhouse, gear up your car himself or find someone who can, and give you lot dinner and a place to slumber. Now, if you break down on an Interstate or whatsoever other 4-lane highway, that's a different affair. If you don't trust your car, stick to the back roads. If your car is going to pause down at that point in its life, information technology will pause down wherever it is, and y'all are no better off ten miles from home. |

If its a auto i'm familiar with, i wouldn't sweat high miles. I work on my own cars, and over-maintain them. If i owned a automobile that I felt i couldn't take for a long highway drive, i would prob go rid of it because I sometimes travel 100+ miles each direction when commuting to our CT office. |

Depends completely and totally on the motorcar, and how it has been maintained. |

Depends on the car. My erstwhile Tacoma has almost 170k on it and nosotros still bulldoze it cross country a couple times per year to go off roading out west. |
